Jon Lukin

Principal Consultant

Jon Lukin is an organization design and transformation strategist who helps leaders build organizations capable of delivering on ambitious missions. His work sits at the intersection of strategy, organizational design, governance, and execution, translating strategic intent into operating models that improve performance, enable growth, and increase organizational adaptability.

Jon's experience spans healthcare systems, public sector organizations, nonprofits, and mission-driven enterprises. He has advised executive teams on enterprise operating models, governance, organizational effectiveness, portfolio management, and large-scale transformation. His work includes protecting hundreds of millions of dollars in healthcare reimbursement through regulatory transformation, redesigning hospital operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, modernizing governance for complex organizations, and helping leadership teams align strategy with execution.

As Principal Consultant at Finisterre, Jon works with executives navigating periods of significant change, including organizational redesign, leadership transitions, growth, restructuring, and strategic transformation. His approach combines rigorous systems thinking with practical implementation, helping organizations move beyond reorganizations to redesign the underlying systems that shape how work gets done.

Jon holds master’s degrees in Organization Development from Pepperdine University and Healthcare Administration from Suffolk University, along with a BA in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.

His writing explores the emerging discipline of transorganizational design, arguing that today's most significant organizational challenges increasingly exist across organizational boundaries rather than within them. Through his research, advisory work, and speaking, he advocates for designing organizations as adaptive systems capable of creating sustained value in increasingly complex environments.
